Representative of Sole Wood Products
Born in Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture. He has worked for more than 20 years at the furniture factory "Mitsukoshi Seisakusho" of "Mitsukoshi", a long-established furniture store that has been in business for over 100 years. In 2014, he moved to Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, one of Japan's leading furniture producing areas. In 2015, he opened his own furniture workshop "Sole wood products".

The Japanese traditional technique "Kumite" that does not use any nails is a method used in temples and shrines. It is a sturdy and durable quality that you will want to pass on to future generations.

Because it is Japanese furniture, we choose Japanese wood and materials from the Kyushu area as much as possible. We also use certified wooden materials in consideration of current global environmental issues. I think that is my responsibility as an artisan and as well as a human.
